This is more of a place holder at the moment. Currently each map has 2 species with rare fur possibilities, albino and melanistic. There are theories out there that each map has limits for at least so many on the map or a maximum number. Personally, I have gone long periods of seeing zero rare furs and then periods where I see them a lot. Personally, I am not sure that it is anything more than a random chance with no limits in either direction. I am always looking to see if I notice anything that may shed more light on the topic, but I do not see any way to settle it for myself.
